The first time I heard "Square One" was at a live show in Virginia and I could not have heard that song at a more important time in my life. This song does the same thing to me. Each song that comes out gets me more excited for the show and the album. Kilroy, I always thought Petty and Knopfler sounded a lot alike, for the longest time when I was younger I thought Petty did "The Sultans of Swing", which I also think Petty should cover some time.

Tom, you once said you try to reach a certain level of purity in the music. I'd say you reached it here. See you at Red Rocks.

fantastic song and video performance. not exactly sure why, but my eyes are full of tears. i relate to the lyrics for me & my husband something good must be coming! after his unemployment any my radiation treatments.

What a beautifull song.......

First of all, you must have skipped 2nd grade and never learned how to spell. Second of all, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are legends. You must have forgotten that they are the ones who pioneered music videos and are one of the first bands to take the music video to another level by acting out skits. "Refugee" is a totally different song than this one. This song is more chill and low key, so they're obviously not going to be smiling and giggling while playing this type of music. Keep rocking Tom! The music just keeps getting better and better!

It's so funny about there music videos now. They are extremely serious! No body smiles anymore the way they use to like in "Refugee". They've aged. Basicly, there music videos now are just them playing. I know they can't jump around and move around like they used to be able to...well maybe they could but it might not end pretty...but it is funny how much they have changed. Hey! If you put a r in tom's last name between the p and e it spell pretty!

Tom is our gift. So is the band. He respects us with his best effort, and we in turn respect him.

I'm so glad I was born at the right time to enjoy Tom's entire career as he went through all his albums. My favorite artist of all time. New song is great!
