Damn The Torpedoes Classic Albums DVD and Blu-Ray Coming August 3

We are excited to announce the August 3 release of Damn The Torpedoes- Classic Albums documentary on DVD and Blu-ray.

Classic Albums is Eagle Rock Entertainment's critically acclaimed series which recounts the back stories of music's most enduring and beloved albums. The series peels away the layers, via comprehensive interviews, studio recreations, and vintage footage, to reveal the stories behind the music.

The Damn The Torpedoes edition of Classic Albums features comprehensive interviews with Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Ron Blair, producer Jimmy Iovine, engineer Shelley Yakus, and others close to the band about the process of writing and recording the classic songs which comprise Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers- smash 1979 album.

Among the songs examined closely in the 56-minute documentary are "Don't Do Me Like That," "Refugee," "Here Comes My Girl," and "Even The Losers." The DVD and Blu-ray also features an additional 42 minutes of bonus features including in-depth multi-track tape analysis, and new and archival performances.

- 21 July, 2010 Tom/heart fan 29yrs I have been your greatest fan for eons now my kids share my love of your music. my 46th bday is 9/17 so we will be at your 9/16 show in tampa. when i asked my 3 kids who wanted to go with me and my husband all 3 kids wanted to (12,13,17). so thay are your newest fans. this dvd is a great view into what it takes to make the music. thank you guys life woulnt be the same ps i had 2 greatest hit tapes (they broke) and am on my 2nd cd, LOve peace out

docscholl - 19 July, 2010 Excellent video clip! I love this kind of documentary...gets me closer to the music, how it was written and recorded and the mindset of the artists, producers and engineers. Hope there is more technical info on the DVD, such as types of mic's used, effects, compressors, etc. Looking forward to MOJO coming to Tulsa in September - I am so there!
